My third teaching experience was nice. We started with a warm-up in which all the students participated. In this time, I had to explain the grammar explanation step. I really liked the part when I was giving a grammar explanation; I used a visual aid from doing that. I could catch the students' attention and they felt encouraged to participate. Students were working in all the exercises. They always showed a positive attitude in class. One of the difficulties that I faced was that just some of the students had the photocopy of a grammar explanation sheet that we used for developing a lesson step.
After this class, I know that I don`t have to give all the answers when I explain grammar, I have to let students participate. Also, I have to show more enthusiasm to the students. Well, I know that each experience is going teach me something new. So, I am very interesting in continue learning from my experience.
Hello Ercy!! I've noticed that you've made a good job during teaching!! You know it's hard, but from each experience, we learn a lot and it help us for the future... It's nice that you have good attitude and you're interested in continue learning. Dealing with enthusiasm is kind of hard, it also happens to me, because we already have a style, but you know we should try to give our best, and suddenly, we're doing it better!!! Congrats!!! =)

ReplyDeleteIt is good that you really pay attention to the pieces of advice your tutor gives you. I know it is not easy when they are telling you what they observed in your classes, but if you take into account their suggestions, you can improve your teaching a lot.
